Cedar Creek Mini Cooper was just 20.5” at birth (5/13/09 DOB). Cooper is sired by Foxbow and out of April, one of the top show jennets in the country having been ADMS National Champion High Point jennet as well as NMDA end of year high point jennet two years in a row. Cooper is April’s first foal and many people have expressed interest in one of April’s foals. However, he was sold at 3 weeks of age, long before we posted any information on him. This tiny little guy is correct in every way and will make a top halter or performance donkey.
Cedar Creek Little Black Bantam, 21.5" at birth (DOB 2/21/09) is by our junior herd sire, LN Foxbow and out of our champion producing, Merit of Breeding jennet, Polyahana. If he follows in the footsteps of his full siblings, he should be a good one. He is very dark, no visible cross and he sure looks like he will be black. He is well proportioned with a pretty little head and straight legs. He has a beautiful floating trot and he is sure to get noticed in the show ring. He is a real people lover!
Foals of 2008
Creek Special Sondae (8/9/08 dob, 21.5") is a gorgeous red jack by our senior herd sire,
LN Redsonne, and out of our beautiful red jennet, Julie
(see sire and dam on the sire and dam
pages respectively). Sondae has an exquisite head and a body and legs to match! This little
boy has a pedigree second to none and that coupled with his outstanding conformation should
make for a great herdsire. See more photos and information on the "For
Cedar Creek Flaming Vixen (6/30/08 dob, 21.5") is by our Jr. herd sire, Foxbow and out of our Valentino 50th daughter, Muffy. We have anxiously awaited the birth of this little foal since we decided to bred Muffy to Foxbow and we were not disappointed (see more photos of sire and dam on our Brood Jennets and Herd Sires pages). In fact, Vixen is the most striking red jennet we have ever had born at Cedar Creek Farm. She is really as vivid bright red as shown in the photos and it looks like she will also have flashy leg garters. Conformationally she is outstanding in every way. We have decided to keep her for show and breeding as we have not retained any Foxbow get.
Cedar Creek Midnight Tango. This is our first foal for 2008. This striking little boy (dob 4/20/08, 22.5" at birth) is by our Jr. herdsire, Foxbow and out of our Merit of Breeding jennet, Glory. With his color and looks he is sure to be a standout in the show ring. With his inquisitive and friendly personality he is sure to steal your heart.
Foals of 2007
Cedar Creek Cowboy Ty. This little guy, ~ 23" at
birth (12/5/07), is by our Jr. herdsire, Foxbow and out
of our Merit of Breeding jennet, Polly, which makes him
a full sister to the gorgeous Loki (also on the Foals
page). Ty is a beautiful, rich dark brown and he is outgoing, friendly and inquisitive.
He is stocky and short coupled with a beautiful head and nice legs. As three of Polly's
foals have been among of my best show donkeys, Ty should make an excellent show donkey or
a loveable pet.
Cedar Creek Scarlet Starlet (dob 7/10/07 ~ birth height: 22.5"). This little red jennet looks to be show quality for sure. She is by our senior herd sire, Redsonne, and out of the top producing foundation jennet, Julie (see both on our herd page). Scarlet is a short coupled, stocky jennet with great legs. Her beautiful head accented with a big white star completes the picture of a stunning little jennet. We have her on the "For Sale" page but we may change our mind!
Cedar Creek Nicolana (dob 11/06). This little girl was actually born late in '06 but we are including her in our "Foals of 2007" page. Her sire is the great LN Nicodemus VHOF, MOB owned by Jerry and Eileen Cosgray in Indiana. Nocolan'as dam is our beautiful Merit of Breeding winning former show jennet, Polly (see her on the "Brood Jennet" page.) We bred Polly to Nicoodemus hoping to get a jennet to add to our brood jennet band and we were not disappointed. This little girl has outstanding conformation and the outgoing temperament necessary to win in the ring in both performance and halter. She is pictured at four months of age in her shaggy winter coat.
Cedar Creek Keepsake (DOB 2/09/07, 22.5” at birth). This gorgeous dark
brown jennet is by Grand Champion Itsy Bitsy
Burro Co Majestic and out of our Merit of Breeding show jennet, Glory
(see more about her on the 'brood jennet' page.) Keepsake
is very correct, with a beautiful head, short coupled body and straight legs. She looks
like she will be a knockout in the show ring. She is temporarily offered for sale, but we
may decide to keep her.
Cedar Creek Justin Tyme (dob 3/6/07, 21".5 at birth). This little
fellow is by our junior herd sire, Foxbow (see
him on the "Herd Sires" page) and out of one of our top
producing, former show jennets, Tiny Bubbles
(see her on our "Brood Jennets" page). He is going
to be the rich dark color like his dad and over-all he looks a lot like Foxbow did at the
same age. At this point, Justin lools like he may be a potential herd sire. He is correct,
has great lets, is short coupled and he has a tiny classy little head. Justin is pictured
with his mom when he was one day old. Other photos were taken when he was three weeks of
age. See more photos of him on the "For Sale" page.
Foals of 2006
We had a total of 4 foals in 2006. Three are lovely jennets, (Wishing Star, out of Tiny Bubbles; Muffy's foal, Ruby Valentino; and (Julie's) foal, Flaming June. We had one jack, Rusty Red, sired by (Sadie). See them all below and on our for sale page). These foals are all for sale.
Cedar Creek Lady in Red (DOB 6/26/06, 22.5” at birth). This little red
jennet is out of Julie Sam and by our multi performance/halter
champion, Merit of Breeding, Sr. herd sire, Sonne. Her
pedigree is about as good as it gets as it contains some of the top foundation donkeys in
the breed. Lady has great legs, both front and rear, a beautiful wide chest and a short
compact body with a smooth hip. Her gorgeous little head is just icing on the cake! Given
the quality of both her sire and dam, this little girl should be a top show/breeding jennet.
She is a real people lover and the first to greet you at the gate.(pictured at 4 days of
age) See her also on the For Sale page.
Cedar Creek Rodeo Red (DOB 5/13/06), 23” at birth). They don’t get any brighter red than this little guy! Rusty is by our Jr. herd sire, Foxbow, and out of the Valintino 50th daughter, Sadie. Rusty is flashy, has great legs and has lots of charisma. He looks like an outstanding show gelding prospect.
Cedar Creek Ruby Valentino (DOB 4/22/06) This little
red jennet by Redsonne and out of Muffy,
has a pedigree as good as they get! She was 22” at birth and with her color, conformation
and pizzazz, she shows every indication of being a top show jennet, and later with her bloodlines,
she should be an outstanding brood jennet. The pictures were taken when she was just one
week old. See her also on the For Sale page.
The more recent photo below taken of Wishing Star at six weeks of age.
Cedar Creek Wishing Star (3/15/06) ~ This gorgeous little dark brown jennet, just 21.75" at birth, looks like she will be a real show stopper. She seems to have inherited the best of her sire, Foxbow, and her dam, Tiny Bubbles. She is short coupled and she has a wide chest with straight, legs both front and rear. Her pretty little head is just icing on the cake. (see Star on the "For Sale" page.)
This beautiful girl has been sold. The recent picture below shows her at 4 mo of age, about
a month after clipping.
Foals of 2005
Cedar Creek Nicklesby (dob 5/26/05 ) is by the great show jack, LN Nicodemus, (owned by Jerry and Eileen Cosgray in Indiana) and out of our Polly. We were hoping to get a jennet by this cross to add to our brood jennet band, but that was not meant to be. This little brown jack was 21.75" at birth so he will likely mature around 32". Both sire and dam are Merit of Breeding winners and Nicodemus not only has his VHOF title, but he is the only miniature jack to earn the ADMS Supreme Driving Award title. With his bloodlines, Nicklesby should be a top show and performance donkey. We have not decided if we will keep him as a show donkey or offer him for sale.
Cedar Creek Julie Sam (Sunset
Acres Slick x Belle
E Acres Little Red Julie) (dob 4/24/05 ) This striking red jennet (look at those
leg garters!) is the first foal Julie has had for us since we acquired her, and we were
not disappointed! She has the color, pizzazz, and conformation to be noticed in the show
ring. Julie Sam's pedigree boasts some of the best foundation stock (close up) in the country
so she should also be a super jennet in anyone's brood jennet band, especially breeders
interested in sorrel. (Sorry, she has already been sold)
Cedar Creek Aneda Rose (dob 4/27/05). We liked this bloodline cross so
well (by our junior herd sire, Foxbow
and out of our old foundation jennet, LN
Neda,) that we decided to try it again. This little jennet is as nice as her
two full sisters, Cedar
Creek Shadow Dancer, and Cedar
Creek Cameo, and as a bonus, she is a sorrel! Aneda Rose is square and stocky
with the great legs of her parents. She has a bold outgoing temperament and she is friendly
as a puppy. During this photo session she thought the water lilies in the pond looked like
grass so she jumped right in! Even that did not scare her. She shook off the mud and water
lilies hanging from her ears and just kept on going. With her conformation and pedigree
she will make a great show or brood jennet. (Sorry, she has already been sold).
Cedar Creek Annything Goes (3/12/ 05) ~ This lovely little brown jennet
(22" @ birth) has the straightest legs, both front and back as well as a short coupled body
and a pretty little head. Anny was born near midnight after we got back from watching the
Cole Porter play, "Anything Goes". The play was the final performance directed by a dear
friend, Theresa G. , who is retiring after having dedicated 30 years of her life to teaching
high school students. We thought Mr. Porter (and Theresa) would not mind a little poetic
license in naming this little jennet. Anny is by our Jr. herdsire, Foxbow
and out of our former show jennet, Tiny
Bubbles both of whom can be seen on the "Our
Creek Sonbeam (3/23/05) (22" at birth). This gorgeous, little bright red jack is sired by
out of Muffy
(More photos of his sire and dam and be seen on "Our
Herd" page). His quality and color are no accident With his square coupled, drafty
build, great legs, pretty head and well set on neck, this little boy should mature into
a stunning jack. Beamer is for sale!
Creek Daydream This showly, dark brown little girl, only 21.5" at birth (2/8/05), is out
of our old Valentino 50th daughter, Sadie,
and her sire is Foxbow.
(Both can be seen on "Our Herd"
page). She has a gorgeous head and a short coupled body. She looks like she will be a good
Cedar Creek Farm's Loki. This gorgeous little girl (pictured at 1.5 months of age) is by our Jr. herd sire, Foxbow, and out of our show jennet, Pollyhana (see "Our Herd" page for more photos on her sire and dam). She is small, dark, cobby and has presence and personality galore.
Cedar Creek Farm's Shamrock. This little jennet is another spectacular
baby out of our show jennet, Tiny
Bubbles (see "Our
Herd"). Pictured at 1.5 weeks of age, her quality is obvious. She is very dark
brown with a small white star. She should stay small (21" at birth) as she has all small
donkeys in her pedigree. She, like her half sister pictured above, has numerous black and
sorrel donkeys in her pedigree.
Cedar Creek Farm's Fantasy (DOB 8/04) is an eye catching little jennet, by our senior herd
and out of our former show jennet, Glory
(both shown on "Our Herd"
page). Fantasy has straight, correct legs, a short coupled body and a gorgeous little head.
Her two full sisters, Fancy (see on Awards page) and Fanfare (see below, 2003 foals) are
both show jennets and from the looks of this little girl she will be as nice!!
Foals of 2003
Cedar Creek Farm's Shadow Dancer is a very dark little jennet (pictured at 2.5 months) by Foxbow, and out of our old foundation jennet, LN Neda. Shadow is short coupled, stocky and very correct. She is friendly as a puppy and loves people. She looks like she will have a bright future as a show jennet.
Cedar Creek Farm's Something Special is a tiny brown jennet (pictured at 3 weeks) is by Sonne and out of our show jennet, Tiny Bubbles. She appears to have the athletic ability and class of Sonne. She is friendly and outgoing and loves people. She looks to be a winner!
Cedar Creek Farm's Fanfare. This striking little girl (pictured at 3 weeks) is by Sonne and out of our show jennet, Glory. Fanfare is structurally very correct and has all the style and pizzazz to be a top show jennet. She is bold, inquisitive and friendly with everyone. Only because we are keeping her full sister, Fancy (see her on our awards page) are we offering this outstanding jennet for sale.
